The Vishwakarma community is known for building the beautiful temples of Sindhudurg region. The presence of the conical or the ‘trikone’ form is traditionally predominant in temples. This form is usually seen in temple doors, walls and even the architectural form. Taking inspiration from this, the ‘Trikone Khunti’ is designed with a combination of two complementary local woods grown in the Sindhudurg region. This product makes use of the existing skills of the craftsman along with the material and techniques that he is familiar with.
