A Bidriware Silver-Inlaid Pandan Box with broad base and convex sides, the shallow domed cover with stepped rim. Inlaid with silver. Decorated all over with a central lotus medallion encircled by a concentric band of scrolling flowering stems. Further minor bands of floral scroll to the rim and base.
Bidricraft gets its name from the Bidar district of Karnataka. the craft originated in Persia and came to India in the 14th century, flourishing in Bidar under the Bahamani Dynasty.
