100% natural- Shola is a plant that grows in the marshy lands of West Bengal. Sholapith craft is used to create delicately carved flowers, headgear for Gods and decorative items which are 100% biodegradable.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS -RABINDRANATH HALDAR & RATHINDRANATH HALDAR
 
Rabindranath Haldar, 76 yrs old is a state awardee Sholapith artist. He along with his son, Rathindra live in Mahespur Village of West Bengal. They have been practising this ageold art from many years. They participate in handicraft exhibitions in Kolkata, organised by the Govt. of WB as well travel to Delhi, Hyderabad to participate in various craft fairs. During the workshop the artisans would teach how to make some eco-friendly flowers and other decorative. Partcipants will learn from them how to make makhar, their favourite modaks also.
