Jackfruit or Phanas is one of the largely found variety of wood that is locally available in the Konkan region. This Jali Tea light is inspired from the Phanas fruit (Jackfruit). Transforming the spiked texture of the jackfruit into little indents and holes in the front if the Jali (mesh), giving way for the small rays of the light of the tea light passing through the holes from the back of the jali.
This tea light is handcrafted by the Vishwakarma Sutar communities and women in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.
